Veganuary occurs during the month of January as noticed in the name!! It is a month to inspire and support millions to try eat only vegan food. It is usually advised to reduce meat and diary to ‘cut your carbon BIG-Footprint’. During Veganuary 2021 campaign, participants over 200 countries took part to try vegan meals.

Below is an amazingly delicious flavour-packed snack recipe:

Cauliflower buffalo wings

Ingredients for 4 servings

  • 3/4 cup of all purpose flour (95g)
  • 1 teaspoon of paprika
  • 2 teaspoons of garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon of pepper
  • 3/4 cup of milk (180ml)
  • 1 head of cauliflower
  • 1/4 cup of buffalo sauce or hot sauce (70g)
  • 2 tablespoons of coconut or vegetable oil
  • 1 tablespoon of honey

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 230°C (450°F). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a large bowl, add the flour, paprika, garlic powder, salt, pepper and milk. Mix them thoroughly.
  • Break the head of the cauliflower into florets. Add the florets to the batter, making sure each floret is coated evenly.
  • Arrange the florets on the baking sheet. Bake for 20 minutes, flipping it halfway.
  • In a small bowl, add the buffalo sauce, the honey, the oil and stir.
  • Brush the sauce of the cauliflower florets and bake for another 20 minutes.
  • Take it out once it reaches your crispy level. Enjoy!!!
